Good decisions deserve better numbers.
MyFastCalcTools is a free collection of practical calculators for the money, time and everyday trade-offs that are easy to underestimate. We built it around a simple idea: you should be able to test a decision yourself, understand what went into the answer, and move on with a little more confidence.
Why we started
It began with questions that come up in ordinary life. Would an electric car actually cost less than a gasoline car over several years? What does a long commute cost after fuel, maintenance and wear? If a loan payment falls after refinancing, is the total remaining interest lower too? Each question has an appealing quick answer—and usually a few details that change it.
Those questions inspired our first tools. From there, the same approach made sense for home payments, subscriptions, freelance rates, splitting a bill, and the countless small choices we make in a week. We wanted a place where someone could ask “is this worth it?” and immediately start working through the numbers.
What makes the calculators useful
We try to show more than a final total. Our tools let you change the important assumptions and see how the answer responds. The full calculators include explanations, scenario comparisons where useful, and notes about costs or variables that are not included. A low monthly payment, for example, might still come with a higher total cost; a fuel-efficient car still has tires, insurance and depreciation.
For topics that warrant extra context, you'll find worked examples and links to our reference desk, which points to independent material such as government guidance and other explanatory resources. We prefer a clear limitation over a misleading claim of precision.
How to get a better answer
Start with the simple version if you're exploring an idea, then open the full calculator when you need more detail. Replace example values with your own, change one assumption at a time, and compare more than one scenario. Check whether the calculation accounts for taxes, fees, financing, inflation, maintenance or anything else that matters in your situation.
Calculators are models, not forecasts or professional advice. Interest rates, tax rules, market returns and actual bills can differ from the examples. Particularly for housing, investing, employment and debt decisions, verify important details with official information or a qualified professional.
Simple by design
The calculators run in your browser using JavaScript, and you don't need to register to use them. Entered figures are not transmitted to a server to produce a calculation. Some convenience features save preferences such as favorite calculators in your browser. A scenario-sharing URL can contain the inputs you entered, so check it before sharing personal financial information.
We want the site to stay practical: no clutter before the calculator, no unexplained results, and no unnecessary steps between a question and a useful estimate. If there's a decision you think deserves a tool, you can suggest a calculator.
